Artist: Vincent Van Gogh

Hand painted oil reproduction of a famous Van Gogh painting, The Harvest. The original masterpiece was created in 1888. Today it has been carefully recreated detail-by-detail, color-by-color to near perfection. This painting, identical to his earlier drawing by the same name, was finished in one sitting. Van Gogh was so pleased with his work that he gave it the French title "La Moisson". Rare for Van Gogh because most of his work was titled by dealers, critics and art historians.
Van Gogh began to draw as a child, and he continued making drawings throughout the years leading to his decision to become an artist. He did not begin painting until his late twenties, completing many of his best-known works during his last two years. In just over a decade, he produced more than 2,100 artworks, consisting of 860 oil paintings and more than 1,300 watercolors, drawings, sketches and prints. His work included self portraits, landscapes, still life of flowers, portraits and paintings of cypresses, wheat fields and sunflowers. His restless spirit and depressive mental state fired his artistic work with great joy and, sadly, equally great despair. This work of art was reproducted as close as to be the same emotions and beauty of the original by Van Gogh. Gracing your home with this reproduced masterpiece, it is sure to bring you many admirers!
